Community Events include the Welcome Back Party and EOY Party. Duties include coordinating food vendors, event volunteers, and entertainment.

After-school Programming
After-school programs for Ambrose students are designed to help them explore a variety of interests with the Ambrose Staff. This committee helps coordinate programming materials.

Safety
In addition to working with school administrators and the Town of Winchester regarding safety concerns, this committee promotes Walk-To-School Fridays during the fall and spring months and tallies numbers for the Golden Sneaker award!

Talent Show
Ambrose has lots of talent! This committee promotes, organizes and produces the annual talent show.

Capital Improvements
Help keep Ambrose looking great! This committee works to improve the school grounds, including the Butterfly Garden and playground.

Book Fair
The Book Fair is the sole fundraiser for the Ambrose library. Help Ms. Bernardi prepare for and run the Book Fair.

Ambrose Children's Theater
The Children’s Theater puts on a production starring Ambrose’s budding actresses and actors. The play is run by an outside director but needs parent volunteers.

Buddy Committee
Help welcome new to Ambrose families grades 1-5! Designed to ease the transition of moving to a new school, this committee matches incoming families with Ambrose families with students in the same grade.

Bulletin Board
This committee is responsible for promoting seasonal school events via the bulletin board at the corner of Westland and High streets.

Communications
This committee manages weekly school newsletters, email blasts, and the PTO website.

Community Outreach
This committee oversees, plans, and implements Community Service Projects, oversees communication with Special Needs liaisons and the Parent to Parent liaisons in the Ambrose Community.

Fundraising/Direct Appeal
Help the PTO raise funds via the annual Direct Appeal campaign and other fundraising projects. Direct Appeal dollars directly fund all student enrichment programs at Ambrose.

Enrichment Committee
This committee works through grade level representatives with faculty to organize enrichment programs for students.

Field Day
The PE Department organizes Field Day, but its success depends on parent volunteers. Help the PE staff to recruit volunteers.

Fifth Grade Committee
This committee organizes all of the 5th grade activities, including the fall fundraiser, Halloween/Fall Pie sales, Cradles to Crayons community service project, the yearbook, end-of-year BBQ and Moving On Ceremony.

Green Team
The Green Team works in concert with other Winchester schools to implement different “green” initiatives designed to reduce-reuse-recycle.

Global Education
This committee is dedicated to broadening students’ awareness of how children live and learn in other parts of the world.

Spooktacular
For those that start buying pumpkins after Fourth of July. This committee organizes the infamous Halloween party.

Teacher Appreciation
Help show Ambrose teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do for our students! This committee coordinates 4 luncheons over the school year.

Husky Swag
This committee organizes the sale of Husky Swag and distributes orders. In addition, committee members assist in the sourcing of materials and setting up pop up shops at community events.

Kindergarten Committee
Help organize events for incoming Kindergarten families - playdates, popsicle party, parent social.

Memorial Day Parade
March in the town Memorial Day Parade representing Ambrose to honor and remember those who died while serving in the armed forces.

Mentor Program
Offered to 4th and 5th grade students to explore a field of interest. This committee helps to match students with mentors and organize an event showcasing students’ projects.

Room Parents
Two-three parents per classroom assist teachers with various projects and recruit volunteers as needed.

SchoolKidz
Work with teachers and our Schoolkidz representative to finalize the school supply lists for the next year.
Spring

Seed-To-Plate
Work with 4th grade students to plant a garden in the spring and to harvest salad greens in the fall as 5th graders. Salads are served in local restaurants as a 5th grade fundraiser.

Veterans' Day Parade
Coordinate Ambrose families to represent Ambrose in honoring our veterans and marching in the town parade.
